Christmas 2004

For Christmas, I managed to save up enough money to make it back to England from Japan. I stayed in England for 3 weeks, 2 of which were spent with my family in Bodmin, and the other week with friends in London, Cambridge, and Norwich.

Meeting up with some old school friends in London. Chris loves the Green Tea Kit-Kats from Japan, honest!! Myself, still very jet-lagged, in the pub.
A post-birthday curry! Yey! And it was free too!! A close up of a very fine onion bhagee... Post pub, why not build some cardboard churches? Ahem...
My parents and my aunt in a traditional tea-house in Truro, Cornwall. A festively dressed dog, Truro. And the shire-horse which would pull the trailer the dog was standing on!
Katie and Diego arrive in England, in the pouring rain. Diego uses the trolley as a scooter..! Christmas morning - Katie looks pleased with her skating tracksuit! Christmas group shot, post-present opening.
Mum on her new bike! Some of the family at the traditional Christmas morning gathering and Maureen and Rob's. All ready to tuck into Christmas Dinner - perhaps my fave meal of the year!
Mum and dad during Christmas dinner. Boxing day lunch - moments before a candle set fire to the table cloth! Some of the family on Boxing day evening.
Olivia playing a hangman game with Grandad. Diego prepares the "video camera on radio controlled car" experiment. And it's ready for the off!
One of the weird hanging things inside the Eden Project cantina And another one! It was very cold outside, and everytime I went inside, I was suffering from misting problems!
The cantina from outside. Mum and Dad with their lanterns. Katie and Diego skating on the temporary, but good, rink at Eden.
With mum and dad, Katie and Diego for a pub dinner. The grand food selection for the New Year's party. Then karaoke! My parents sing a duet...Elton John and Kiki D I think!
Diego shows us some of his Spanish singing flair... Katie with Olie. Saying a sad farewell to Katie and Diego at the airport.
At the beautiful Porthcurno. Mum and Dad, in the same location. The bay as viewed through the part of an old theatre
Dave and myself at the good ol' White Swan, one of my favourite Cambridge pubs! Final night in England - a meal at a Chinese restaurant in London with some mates. Allen can't take his eyes of the sweet and sour pork!
